Yesterday was Jana's birthday - 1 year old and a BIG girl. She weighed 85# on the
vet's scale at 11 mos. old, and I estimate she is 4 - 5 # heavier now. She is very smart
and easy to work with. She has a wonderful personality and is well behaved, meets
people easily as long as one of us is with her and we give the OK. She is a type A dog
and wants to dominate other dogs she is introduced to, but is not aggressive to them
as long as she is accepted. She plays ball tirelessly with our granddaughters (2 and 6
years old) and will not leave their side when they are outside, willingly lets them feed
and brush her and wash her food dish etc. Strangers are given the "ears up stare"
with a growl and a "woof", and we have seen her stop them in their tracks until the OK
command is given. Jana is not good with wild animals and tries to kill anything that
invades her home territory. She still smells like a skunk from an encounter 2 weeks
ago. People are fascinated by her color and appearance and we've been asked quite a
few times if she was a wolf!!!!!

So funny that you contacted us as I check your website often and in fact as recently
as last night. Gunther looks exactly like Jana but does not have type A personality -
he is a Big teddy bear - he is approximately 80 lbs and loves to "sneak" into my lap at
night - he gets along great with Holden ( my 11 year old german shepherd mix) and
all three of my kids - we could not ask for a better dog - he loves to be outside and to
play frisbee especially when it goes into the woods and he has to "search for it" - we
have therefore decided that when it is time we will definitely get another German
Shepherd (from you)!!!!
